it’s a great time to be a music lover, because there’s so much amazing stuff out there… here’s a few new records i’m really digging these days.

PAPER ROUTE – Absense
we’ve been using most of this record as pre-show music for the House Tour. really great stuff. think Postal Service, Travis, Depeche Mode…with some ridiculously hooky melodies.

COURRIER – Like The Cold of Snow in the Time of Harvest
these are good friends here in Austin, and this EP is their first studio release (and a fantastic one at that). stellar lyrics and melodies that get stuck in your head. creative & athemic for sure.

JETS UNDER FIRE – Kingdoms
another great band from Austin. just recently met these guys and i love their stuff. this record has great hooks and vibe for days. they also have free EP’s for DL on their site.

OWL CITY – Ocean Eyes Flatliners the movie
pop sweetness. of course the song, “Fireflies” is infectious. think Mae, Postal Service, Reliant K.

Since the news that Copeland is going to disband after there next tour I have been listening to

Copeland – You Are My Sunshine
The greatest album they made… shame that it is ending…

Copeland – Know Nothing Stays The Same
Some great covers….. including Another Day in Paradise.

Owl CIty – Ocean Eyes
Though i think cave in is my favorite song… but fireflies is good.

Alanna Story – Keep Breathing.
Some talented young ladies.

The Glorious Unseen – The Hope that lies in you
Lead Singer has a gritty and soulful vocal that i love.
