House Tour – BentonvilleOctober 23, 2009 Wow I am still jazzed about the house show tonight!! It’s 1am and I should totally be sleeping, but I can’t stop thinking about what a fantastic night it was tonight! What a fun crowd…a packed crowd here at the Rusch house in Bentonville. Met some amazing people here that are doing stellar things for the sake of the Kingdom. Such a humbling experience to sit and have conversation with godly people like the Rusch’s that love God & are risking/sacrificing to meet the needs of people around them. They are adopting a little girl from Ethiopia right now, so it was great to talk about adoption. They also run a non-profit called The Cobblestone Project. So great to hear all about what they’re doing. Met many other families that are thinking about adoption and justice/compassion issues. Met a family who works for Not For Hire, an org that is fighting child trafficking around the globe. Met another man who runs a homeless ministry. Met another family who does a ton of mission work in Mexico. I’m telling you, it was inspiring to be around so many people who cared deeply about mercy & justice. Congo video Not to mention…11 kids were released from poverty tonight through families sponsoring via Compassion!!! That’s 11 kids & their families who are literally OUT of bondage of abject poverty because a few people carved out $38 a month from their budgets. THANK YOU guys!!! Besides all that… It was just FUN to be with great people and play music in a house. Much thanks to all who came out. Next stop… Jonesboro tomorrow, then I fly home to see Story on Saturday!!! Then to Richmond for more House Shows… |
