House Tour – Oklahoma CityOctober 20, 2009 Night 2 of the House Tour was stellar! Thanks to some find folks from Guthrie, OK showing up to the Robbins backyard for a night of storytelling, justice, and music. Another great crowd…and it was such a beautiful night… The Robbins family was gracious with hospitality, not to mention they have an amazing cabana in their backyard next to a pond. It was a great setting for the House Show. Lots of people responded tonight by sponsoring children through Compassion, purchasing Haiti shirts to benefit Real Hope For Haiti, and many conversations about adoption took place tonight. After the show we got to hang out with Wayne Bradbury and his family. Wayne was a former drug addict and homeless guy…he’s been radically changed by Jesus…radically! He now is the kitchen manager and chef at City Rescue Mission downtown OKC. Here he feeds almost 1,000 homeless men & women every day. So amazing to hear his story of how God has rescued and redeemed. Wayne is a really humble dude who made it clear numerous times while telling his story, “all God’s doing..not mine!” His family is fantastic, and it was cool to hang and eat dinner with them and the Robbins at the Robbins house tonight. Wayne cooked a massive spread of veggie lasagne and all sorts of other amazing things. buy The Dwelling Place Leave a Reply |
