kids are kidsDecember 11, 2008 whether in a remote village of some third world country, or in the wealthiest suburbs of LA… kids are kids. The Burning buy Sleepwalking full they laugh when you tickle them. they cry when they fall down. they emulate a father-figure. (amos currently has a toy computer sitting beside mine…i’m sure he’s blogging). they like to cuddle. they are scared when they are by themselves. they get bored easily. they don’t like to share all the time. they love sugar. they sing silly songs. they like when you hold their arms and fling them around in circles until they pee on themselves. they play with cars, and make engine noises. they want to taste the coffee from your cup, then when they do they look at you like, “why did you do this to me?” kids are kids.
it’s a shame that the only thing that’s different than most kids in the world is… the location and surroundings they were born into. i’ve been playing and hanging out with Amos mostly (story is a little hands-off… she’s not around many men, muchless blanc men). and as i play with Amos, it’s so much like playing with Cayden or Deacon. they are similar in so many ways. but i get kinda teary when i think of what this guy has had to go through to get to where he is now….and how fortunate he is to even be living. his first year was treacherous, and his life only attests to a kind God and some compassionate people who follow Him. at 9 months, he only weight 12 pounds. his first year was full of upward battles for his own life. he has approached death more than most Americans will come close to in their whole life. yet, today this kid has his whole life ahead of him. and he’s full of happiness, craziness, stubbornness, gentleness, and smiles.
Practical Magic movie download download Ice Blues movie kids are kids…some have the opportunity to live full lives…others simply don’t. for the many kids i’m surrounded by in this house (ours + Livesay’s) i am overwhelmed by a sense of reverence of God’s sovereignty and kindness. for the millions of others children in this city and the surrounding villages, i feel a deep sense of sadness that ALL of them can’t be saved today. some will die, others will be on the edge of “surviving” for the rest of their lives, and only a few it seems will be saved. and sadly, only a small few of the families with the ability to do something about it actually respond to the need…. only a few.
